Courtney Mitchell holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Health Science and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from The College of St. Scholastica, where she completed her master’s degree in 2009. In September 2016, she became Certified Life Care Planner through the International Commission on Health Care Certification and established her business, Courtney Mitchell Home Care Assessments and Life Care Planning.
She serves on professional committees, including the Medical Services Review Board and the Standards of Practice Advisory Committee, and is an active contributor to the field through presentations and publications.
Courtney’s work has been published in the Journal of Life Care Planning and in Life Care Planning and Case Management Handbook. She has also presented on topics such as traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, neuro-vision deficits, and the role of occupational therapy in life care planning.
