Life Care Plans
I provide life care plans, rebuttal analyses, future care and cost determinations, and medical expert witness services. My practice focuses on delivering thorough, objective, and ethical reports for both plaintiff and defense cases.
My services are often used in complex litigation, including personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, general liability, and environmental injury claims.
Home Care Assessments
Sometimes called home nursing assessments, home care assessments determine how many hours of home care services a person needs after an injury or illness. These evaluations are frequently used in Workers’ Compensation cases to help resolve disputes about the level and hours of care required or to update needs when a person’s condition changes.
Each assessment includes a detailed review of medical records and, when possible, an in-home visit. During this process, functional abilities are evaluated, tasks requiring assistance are identified, and recommendations are made for equipment or modifications that can improve safety and independence. The assessment also outlines the appropriate level of support needed for daily activities.
Occupational Therapy Expert Witness Testimony
As an occupational therapy expert witness, I provide clear, unbiased opinions for both plaintiff and defense cases to determine if the care provided met accepted professional standards. I carefully review medical records, therapy notes, and related documents; compare the care provided to established clinical guidelines and professional standards; identify any deviations; and explain how they may have impacted the patient’s outcomes. I continue to work clinically as an occupational therapist and have experience in outpatient clinics, acute care hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation, and nursing home settings. This diverse clinical background informs and strengthens my opinions on the standard of care across a variety of practice environments.
